To China with a Business Delegation

Our Managing Director, Bernd Große Holthaus, accompanied Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Alois Rainer on his official trip to China as part of a high-level business delegation.

As the world’s largest food market, China is of great importance to the German agri-food industry.

The program included discussions on further strengthening agricultural and trade cooperation, in particular the reopening of the Chinese market for German meat exports.

In addition, promoting German agri-exports, developing new market opportunities, and supporting German companies on site were key topics.

Informative roundtable discussions with the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK), the German Embassy, and local companies, as well as visits to domestic enterprises and wholesale markets to gain insights into distribution and marketing, rounded off the trip.

Strengthening international competitiveness and continuously opening up new markets is always a top priority for GEPRO.
